We just drove out to Matata to take photos from the mountain, and visited Murphy’s Holiday Camp on the way. Here is their sign here:

I was really impressed by.....
how quiet and peaceful the camp was, and how beautiful the beach was. Everything looked pretty clean and well-managed. It has toilets, a kitchen, a TV lounge and Billiards room, BBQ areas, facilities for cleaning fish and hot water. Here is a photo of one of the cabins (on 20 January 2010 the price for a cabin would be $24 per adult).
Mrs Murphy says that the beach is good for fishing and swimming; it goes down quite suddenly, but then levels off for a safe swim. Children can swim on this beach too, but at the far side of the camp ground, they’ve dammed up a small swimming hole that is popular for kids. I plan to go and take photos of that when I have more time. In the meantime, here are some more photos of the camp.
